Pepsi Bottling Ventures Opens Distribution-Sales Hub In Harrisburg, North Carolina
04/12/2016
North Carolina–based Pepsi Bottling Ventures is the largest privately held bottler of Pepsi–Cola products in North America, operating 20 bottling and distribution facilities that serve consumers in North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Maryland, and Delaware. PBV is a joint venture between Suntory International and PepsiCo.
According to company officials, the new operation allows Pepsi Bottling Ventures to retain more than 200 current jobs and consolidate both it Charlotte facility on South Boulevard, as well as the Midland, North Carolina, location into a single facility. Most all employees from both locations are transferring to the new facility.
PBV President/CEO, Paul Finney stated, "The new Harrisburg location provides us with the needed scale to leverage our operating capability to serve the customer base in the fastest growing region in North Carolina. We are very excited to be part of Harrisburg and the Charlotte metro-area."
A sales and distribution center will support the significant growth anticipated by PBV in the Charlotte market for years to come, Pepsi Ventures officials said. Pepsi Bottling Ventures purchased the Charlotte area franchise in a territory swap with PepsiCo in mid-2013.
