Brazil-Based TSEA Energy Plans Eden, North Carolina, Manufacturing Operations

04/02/2026
Brazil-based energy equipment manufacturer TSEA Energy plans to establish operations in Eden, North Carolina. The $25 million project is expected to create 160 jobs in Rockingham County.

The company’s new 160,000-square-foot manufacturing facility will produce voltage regulators used to support grid stability, power quality, and system reliability for utilities across the U.S.

“This investment represents an important milestone in our international expansion and reinforces our long-term commitment to the U.S. market,” said Beto Reynaldo, CEO of TSEA Energy. “Establishing a local manufacturing presence allows us to better serve our customers' needs while contributing to the modernization of the U.S. grid.”

To support the project the One North Carolina Fund awarded a $300,000 performance-based grant. The OneNC Fund provides financial assistance to local governments to help attract economic investment and to create jobs. Companies receive no money upfront and must meet job creation and capital investment targets to qualify for payment. All OneNC grants require matching participation from local governments, and any award is contingent upon that condition being met.

“We are excited to welcome more manufacturing jobs to North Carolina,” noted Lee Lilley, Secretary of Commerce for North Carolina. “Our strong workforce and manufacturing base provide the foundation companies like TSEA need to grow and support increasing energy demand.”

In addition to the North Carolina Department of Commerce and the Economic Development Partnership of North Carolina, other partners in the project include the North Carolina General Assembly, Commerce’s Division of Workforce Solutions, the University of North Carolina System, North Carolina A&T State University, North Carolina State University, the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, the North Carolina Community College System, Rockingham Community College, Rockingham County, Rockingham County Economic Development, Duke Energy, and the City of Eden.

TSEA Energy manufactures and services electrical equipment used in power generation, transmission, and distribution systems. The company produces transformers, reactors, and related components for utility and industrial customers.
