McKesson Medical-Surgical Inc. To Establish $27.5 Million Distribution Facility In Rock Hill, South Carolina

McKesson Medical-Surgical Inc., a distributor of medical supplies, plans to establish its new $27.5 million, 300,000 square foot, distribution facility at Riverwalk Business Park in Rock Hill, South Carolina. The new facility, which is scheduled to open during the first half of 2015, is expected to bring more than 140 jobs in York County.

The company will distribute medical and surgical supplies to physician offices, surgery centers, long-term care facilities and home care businesses in a regional service area that includes the Carolinas. The York County facility has the flexibility to expand over time to meet the company's increasing distribution needs.

Also, this is a great opportunity to match the strength of the state's infrastructure and labor force with our strong growth,” Stanton McComb, President of McKesson Medical-Surgical.

We look forward to being a part of McKesson's success story.” Secretary of Commerce Bobby Hitt said. The Coordinating Council for Economic Development approved job development credits and a $200,000 set aside grant for building construction related to the project.
