05/02/2019
Lucideon is a leading, independent materials testing, analysis, characterization, development and commercialization organization specializing in materials technologies and processes. The new Greenville site will become home to Lucideon’s Center of Excellence for Additive Manufacturing, supporting aerospace and medical device manufacturing.
Currently located in a 7,200-square-foot facility at 481 Garlington Road in Greenville, Lucideon M+P will be moving into a 23,000-square-foot space at Patewood Business Center, located at 1 Marcus Drive in Greenville. The move will allow the company to increase its capability to serve businesses in the local area and around the world.
In addition to its Greenville facilities, Lucideon also has laboratories and offices in Raleigh, North Carolina; Schenectady, New York; Stoke-on-Trent, United Kingdom; and accredited laboratories in the Far East.
The Coordinating Council for Economic Development has approved job development credits related to this project.
“We’ve been in Greenville for more than 18 years, supporting local businesses and those further afield. South Carolina’s business-friendly attitude and support have contributed to making this expansion possible for us. We’re excited to have the opportunity to grow in this thriving part of the country and hope to invest more in both equipment and people as our business flourishes,” said Lucideon M+P Greenville Division Manager Joe Beagle.
“Today, we celebrate the growth of another one of our existing industry partners. I congratulate Lucideon M+P on this latest investment and look forward to watching their cutting-edge operations continue to thrive here in South Carolina,” Governor Henry McMaster said.
“South Carolina’s high-tech industry continues to grow, and today’s announcement by Lucideon M+P is further testament to that. Going forward, I am thrilled to support the company as they continue to succeed and create new opportunities for hardworking South Carolinians,” Secretary of Commerce Bobby Hitt said.
“Lucideon has grown and prospered in Greenville County for the past 18 years, and council is pleased that the company has chosen to again expand both its operations and its workforce here. We are proud of their success story and consider them an integral member of our expanding advanced manufacturing community,” said Greenville County Council Chairman and Greenville Area Development Corporation Director H.G. “Butch” Kirven Jr.
