Solaria Selects Fremont, California for HQ and Solar Panel Production
06/11/2010
"One nice thing about this facility we're going to is it's entitled for expansion," Solaria CEO Dan Shugar told the Times. "There's adjacent space there and that's already been approved by the city."
The company will complete all of its North American manufacturing in Fremont. It plans to move into the space by December. The site will also include an attached solar plant.
Solaria has 30 patents for its photovoltaic solar modules, which produce the same amount of energy using half the silicon of conventional solar panels.
