The company plans to double its Spring Hill warehousing operations from 300,000 square feet to 600,000 square feet as well as increase its workforce from approximately 200 to more than 800 over the next five years.
“We are proud to expand Ryder’s world-class Spring Hill logistics operation in support of our growing business in this market,” Steve Sensing, President, Global Supply Chain Solutions for Ryder, said. “We’ve served customers in Spring Hill for decades. The area is flush with talent enabling us to meet our customers’ logistics needs.”
“Congratulations to Ryder, and thank you for your continued investment in our community,” Maury County Chamber and Economic Alliance President Wil Evans said. “It is always exciting to see our existing industries grow. Ryder’s decision to expand here further solidifies that Maury County is a great place to do business.”
“Tennessee’s central geographic location and incredible logistics infrastructure offer companies around the world a great setting for growth and success,” said Governor Bill Haslam. “Our goal to make Tennessee the No. 1 location in the Southeast for high quality jobs is made possible with the support of companies like Ryder, and we want to thank them for choosing to expand in Spring Hill and adding more than 600 new jobs to the Maury County workforce.”
“Tennessee is the top state in the nation for overall infrastructure and global access making it an outstanding choice for Ryder’s latest expansion,” Economic and Community Development Commissioner Randy Boyd said. “As a state, we strive to leverage Tennessee’s inherent advantages with the success of our thriving key sectors to create an environment that supports both newly located companies and existing industry expansions. I appreciate Ryder’s continued investment in Tennessee and for creating hundreds of new jobs in Spring Hill.”
