09/21/2015
The company is expected to invest more than $22 million for land, building, and equipment and hire up to 80 employees. The new Deceuninck facility is located on Nevada Pacific Boulevard and includes 150,000 square-feet of extrusion, manufacturing support, warehouse, and office space. It is scheduled to open in the second quarter of 2016.
"Since the mid-1990s, Deceuninck North America has maintained a strong presence in the east from our headquarters in Monroe, Ohio," said Filip Geeraert, President/CEO of Deceuninck North America. "The new facility near Reno will mark a new era for Deceuninck, and we are thrilled to continue our reputation for stellar service with our western expansion."
"I would like to take this opportunity to welcome Deceuninck North America to the City of Fernley. We extend our gratitude to Deceuninck in selecting Fernley as their new industrial site. You are enriching our community by providing job opportunities to our citizens and increasing awareness to the manufacturing industry that Fernley is an ideal region for the industrial trade," said Mayor Roy Edgington, City of Fernley.
"It is exciting to see a global manufacturing company like Deceuninck choose Northern Nevada for their expansion in the West," said Mike Kazmierski, President and CEO of Economic Development Authority of Western Nevada . "They are an excellent fit for our region and the City of Fernley and their commitment to the region demonstrates the trend for companies in the East or Midwest to consider the Reno-Sparks-Fernley region for their operations," he said.
