Fuel Systems of Angola and Steffy Wood Products Expanding in Indiana
07/20/2010
Fuel Systems produces auto and recreational fuel components to Tier I and Tier II manufacturers. It will invest more than $2.5 million in a 140,000-square-foot facility and create up to 140 jobs.
"The EDC team, from the top down, has turned the Angola site from an afterthought to a focal point of growth," said Les Thornton, president of Fuel Systems of Angola. "I am looking forward to starting the process of building the FSA team and starting operations."
Steffy makes early childhood wood furniture for schools and daycares. It will put more than $2.3 million into a 20,000-square-foot expansion and create 38 jobs.
The Indiana Economic Development Corporation has extended Fuel Systems up to $750,000 in performance-based tax credits. Steffy could receive up to $80,000 in performance-based tax credits and up to $20,000 in training grants. The city of Angola will offer property tax abatement to both companies at the request of the Steuben County Economic Development Corporation.
