11/26/2014
Drumheller Packaging Inc. designs and manufactures multiwall bags for a variety of commercial, agricultural and industrial users. Products include various styles of multiwall paper and textile bags. The company offers custom design, foil lamination and flexographic printing services and provides packaging, inspection, distribution and delivery services. Its client base includes the feed, seed, fertilizer, pesticide, plastic, pharmaceutical, chemical, flour, pet food and sugar industries.
“We are extremely excited about the CDBG grant provided by the state and the future growth it will help offer Clarksdale and Drumheller Packaging alike. The grant will provide rehabilitation to an existing antiquated facility enabling us to create more jobs in a new product market,” said Drumheller Packaging President David Drumheller, Jr. “Coupled with our installation of newer equipment, the grant will help us provide a very clean safe working environment for all our new employees. We will never be able to fully express the gratitude for all of the state and local officials who have made this project possible.”
The Mississippi Development Authority provided assistance in support of the project for building improvements. Coahoma County also provided incentive assistance.
“Working with our economic development partners throughout the state, we aim to provide a business environment that encourages growth and fosters sustainable success for Mississippi’s new and existing companies. MDA is glad to have played a role in helping Drumheller Packaging expand and create new job opportunities for the residents of Coahoma County,” said MDA Executive Director Brent Christensen. “We thank our partners at Coahoma County and at the Clarksdale/Coahoma County Chamber of Commerce for working with us to make this expansion possible.”
“Mississippi’s existing businesses such as Drumheller Packaging comprise the backbone of the state’s economy. When they choose to expand, it serves as a testament to companies around the country and globe that Mississippi is open for business and that great things are happening in our state,” Governor Phil Bryant said. “I thank the team at Drumheller Packaging for creating these new job opportunities for the residents of the Delta and for its commitment to the city of Clarksdale and Coahoma County.”
