Hearthstone Expands Newport, Tennessee, Facility

A company that specializes in building and manufacturing log and timber frame homes, Hearthstone, Inc. will invest $3.9 million to expand operations at its facility in Newport, Tennessee.

The company, which expects to create 38 new jobs in Cocke County, has been manufacturing homes for over 40 years and has been a pioneer in CAD/CAM timber cutting production in the United States since 1997. Through this investment, Hearthstone will be able to install new machinery and create and develop new products. The company will also be able to reopen its sawmill and timbering operations.

“I want to thank Hearthstone for choosing to reinvest in Cocke County,” Community Development Commissioner Randy Boyd said. “It is so important for us to work with companies like Hearthstone to make sure that they have continued success in our state. I want to congratulate Hearthstone on this expansion and appreciate the jobs they are creating in East Tennessee.”
