Cardinal Health Expands Moberly, Missouri, Production Facility
12/04/2015
Among the 50 new, full-time positions to be filled at the Moberly facility are maintenance technicians, machine operators and material handlers. The expansion will bring the company’s Moberly workforce to 175.
To assist Cardinal Health with its expansion project, the Missouri Department of Economic Development authorized a strategic incentive package that the company can receive if it meets strict job creation and investment criteria. Key partners on the project include the Moberly Area Economic Development Corporation.
“Cardinal Health’s decision to expand in Moberly is a testament to the state’s manufacturing strength,” said Mike Downing, Director of the Missouri Department of Economic Development. “Missouri’s central location is an inherent advantage, and our skilled workforce makes projects like this possible.”
“We are pleased that Cardinal Health is making an additional investment in the Moberly facility, said Bob Riley, Mayor of the City of Moberly. “This is another affirmation of the quality workforce that Central Missouri has to offer companies competing in an international marketplace.”
The history of Cardinal Health in Moberly goes back several decades. “Cardinal Health has been a long-time member of the community, and we are looking forward to the future as they grow their operations in Moberly,” said Corey Mehaffy, President of Moberly Area Economic Development. “The addition of employment at the facility will have a positive impact across a wide area of our region.
