ENTEK Manufacturing Plans Henderson, Nevada, Manufacturing Plant
03/20/2022
The new 98,000 square foot building will be home to wear parts production, fabrication and assembly, and engineering, company officials noted.
“We are expanding our business to better meet the needs of our customers’ growing businesses,” said Kim Medford, President of ENTEK Manufacturing. “Our greatest success comes from ensuring the success of the product manufacturers that our equipment supports.”
As an incentive the company will receive $1 million in tax abatements based on targeted job creation, with an average weighted hourly wage of $29.44.
“ENTEK chose Nevada for the new facility because it is a growing area of the country with a strong labor market,” added Medford. “We used an outside firm to do a multi-city survey, and the greater Las Vegas metro area came out first when it came to the availability of skilled labor such as machinists and engineers,” she said. “It’s a good location for us, and not far from our headquarters in Oregon.”
ENTEK sells extruders and engineering services, lead-acid separators and lithium-ion separators. The company designs and builds battery separator lines, extruders, and parts with in-house engineering, machining, and fabrication resources.
