06/20/2013
The company's core Wowza Media Serverâ software effectively removes barriers to entry. It provides businesses of any size with powerful video broadcasting tools, including a full-featured multi-protocol media server that seamlessly delivers live and on-demand video to any screen on any device. The customizable platform puts clients in control of their own media delivery and content, allowing them to build high-quality and exceedingly cost-effective engagement strategies to further business goals, such as growing an audience or driving revenue.
Over the past year, Wowza has more than doubled its staff while dramatically growing revenue and adding more than 30,000 global licensees in over 150 countries, a company spokesman said. The new office provides the company a strategic expanded presence in the Silicon Valley technology community. Wowza will add several new employees at its Mountain View campus by the end of this year, including senior product and project managers, senior engineers, web technologists and inside sales representatives.
"Wowza Media Systems has expanded its market leadership by providing simplified, reliable and powerful video workflow solutions that takes care of the software and delivery so customers can focus on creating engaging content," said Wowza CEO and co-founder David Stubenvoll. "This new office allows us to not only gain access to top Silicon Valley talent and networking but also supports our continuing growth."
