07/12/2018
The facility, on I-20 at the FM 1936 exit, was built to accommodate Cogent's coiled tubing fleet, specifically its 2 3/8" unit which operates primarily in West Texas and New Mexico.
"Cogent began with an acquisition in the Permian Basin. It was always our goal to expand our footprint and presence in the area with a facility of this caliber. This facility accommodates our growing brand," said Chet Erwin, Cogent's CEO.
According to company officials, with a large wash bay and three-bay shop complete with a crane, Cogent can more rapidly service all of its units, including a 1¼" and several 2" units that work in the Permian.
The facility includes 5 offices and large conference room to support Cogent's continued growth in the area.
