SJ Incorporation Plans Cascade, Maryland, Production Operations
05/27/2025
The company’s new 35,000-square-foot-facility, located at Fort Ritchie, will manufacture medicine and medical device components.
To support the project the Maryland Department of Commerce is working to approve a $1,000,000 conditional loan through Advantage Maryland. Additionally, Washington County is providing a $100,000 conditional loan to support the company’s move to Maryland. SJ Incorporation is also eligible for the state’s Job Creation Tax Credit and One Maryland Tax Credit.
“We are honored and extremely grateful to the leadership and people of Maryland for partnering with us in this most exciting venture,” said SJ Incorporation Chief Executive Officer and Group Managing Director Sanjay Jha. “Our entire team is focused on the future of our firm in America. We look forward to working with our new partners and serving a vital role in the healthcare industry in Maryland and in the U.S. market”.
“Maryland’s leadership in the life sciences, pharmaceutical and manufacturing fields make it a great fit for an innovative company like SJ Incorporation,” noted Maryland Department of Commerce Secretary Harry Coker, Jr. “This investment in our state will benefit the company, create good jobs for Washington County, and help us make Maryland’s economy stronger and more competitive.”
SJ Incorporation is focused on bringing affordable medical products to underserved markets through its sourcing ability and last-mile connectivity. The company markets its own brand of products and has expertise in manufacturing and logistics.
“When the U.S. Army left Fort Ritchie, a large employment vacuum was created. Four years into our revival, vibrant life has returned to the post,” added Fort Richie Property Developer John Krumpotich. “SJ Incorporation’s presence will have a large impact not only on our local mountain community, but all of western Maryland. They will bring hundreds of good-paying jobs and be a valuable part of our rejuvenation. We are very excited for this next step.”
