Holly Poultry Establishes Hanover, Maryland, Production Operations

09/19/2026
Food company Holly Poultry has established operations in Hanover, Maryland. The project is expected to create 140 jobs in Anne Arundel County.

The company’s new 80,000-square-foot manufacturing and production facility features dedicated processing, packaging and fulfillment capabilities.

“Holly has been building its business in Maryland for generations, and as we enter this next phase, it was important to us to continue building it here,” said Holly Poultry CEO Zach Fine. “We’re creating new jobs, investing in our people, and bringing the experience we’ve built serving foodservice customers to grocery through private-label programs and our consumer brands One Fine Chicken and Easy Street.”

To support the project, the company is eligible for a $750,000 conditional loan through Advantage Maryland and a $50,000 grant through the Partnership for Workforce Quality program, both administered by the Maryland Department of Commerce. Holly Poultry is also eligible for a $75,000 conditional loan from the Anne Arundel County Economic Development Corporation.

“Holly Poultry’s expansion into Anne Arundel County showcases the success of a family-owned business that has served Maryland for decades,” noted Maryland Department of Commerce Secretary Harry Coker, Jr. “This investment creates new opportunities for our local workforce and supports the company’s continued growth throughout the Mid Atlantic. Maryland is looking forward to growing its partnership with Holly Poultry as it expands operations in the state.”

Holly Poultry is a poultry distribution and processing company serving foodservice, wholesale, restaurant and grocery customers throughout the Mid Atlantic. The company’s retail business includes private-label offerings and its One Fine Chicken and Easy Street consumer brands.

“Holly Poultry’s expansion reinforces Anne Arundel County's position as a premier location for business growth and investment,” added Anne Arundel Economic Development Corporation President and CEO Amy Gowan. “We’re proud to support a Maryland company that continues to grow and create quality career opportunities for our workforce.”
