Tyco and Shearer’s Foods Invest A Total Of $2.6 Million To Expand Lubbock, Texas, Facilities

“To meet a steady increase in demand, Tyco is ramping up production of fire sprinklers with plans to produce new products at our Lubbock location,” Lionel Buenaventura, director of operations, said. “We appreciate the partnership with LEDA that has provided the support needed for Tyco to maintain its competitive edge.”
The Lubbock Economic Development Alliance said in addition to Tyco’s growth plans, Shearer’s Foods will make $2.6 million investment to expand its facility and add 14 new jobs over the next five years.
“LEDA has been an outstanding partner as we ramp up our business, and they have been proactive and helpful while responding to our needs,” Jay Shestokes, plant Manager for Shearer’s Foods, Inc., said. “This expansion continues to solidify our business in the local community, and we will continue to invest in our Lubbock location.”
In total, these companies will invest more than $5.75 million in new capital improvements and create 95 jobs, the Lubbock Economic Development Alliance said.
