09/12/2013
“Our commitment to more jobs and less taxes has empowered the private sector to grow and create jobs,” Gov. Tom Corbett said. “Lesleh Precision, Inc.’s expansion will add 29 new jobs to the more than 130,000 jobs Pennsylvania’s employers have already added to the private sector since 2011.”
“We want to thank Governor Corbett and his team, Economic Growth Connection of Westmoreland County, and all of the dedicated Lesleh Precision employees for helping us take this next step in growing our company,” Ron Helsel, president of Lesleh Precision said.
The company received a funding offer from the Department of Community and Economic Development including a $58,000 Pennsylvania First Program grant, $58,000 in Job Creation Tax Credits and a $13,050 Guaranteed Free Training grant to be used to train its new workforce.
The offer also included a $500,000 low-interest loan at 1.5 percent from the Machinery and Equipment Loan Fund to be repaid in 10 years and an $816,646 low-interest loan at 2.25 percent from the Pennsylvania Industrial Development Authority to be repaid in 15 years.
The project was coordinated by the Governor’s Action Team in collaboration with the Economic Growth Connection of Westmoreland County.
"The Economic Growth Connection was pleased to have the opportunity to partner with the Corbett Administration to provide assistance to Lesleh Precision, which will enable them to expand their business by moving into a new facility in Westmoreland County,” Jim Smith, President and CEO of Economic Growth Connection said. “Our partnership with the Corbett Administration and companies like Lesleh Precision is the reason that Westmoreland County's economy has remained stable, even through tough economic times."
