Manpower Inc.: Talent Shortage Survey
Manpower Inc. finds that more than 30 percent of employers across the globe have trouble filling company positions, according to its Talent Shortage Survey.
5/21/2010
"As the global economy slowly recovers, employers will remain focused on maintaining financial flexibility and doing more with less," said Manpower Inc. Chairman and CEO Jeffrey A. Joerres. "Applying the same mindset to their work force, employers have gotten more specific about the combination of skill sets that they are looking for, not only seeking technical capabilities in a job match, but holding out for the person that possesses the additional qualities above and beyond that will help drive their organization forward."
In the Americas, 34 percent of employers had a tough time filling positions due to lack of suitable talent. For the third year, technician positions were the most difficult to fill.
