The investment package includes C$48 million to deliver high speed Internet and cellular coverage to rural areas, and C$11 million for Next Generation Access Infrastructure, which provides fiber optic cable and increased bandwidth closer to homes and businesses. It will also expand high speed Internet to First Nations with a C$6 million investment.
SaskTel has more than C$1 billion in annual revenue, and more than 1.3 million customer connections.
