04/19/2025
Sweet-packaged food company Ferrero plans to expand its operations in Brantford, Ontario, Canada. The $445 million project is expected to create 500 jobs.

The investment will include the launch of Ferrero Rocher chocolate squares as well as new production lines for Nutella Biscuits.

“This is another important milestone in Ferrero’s history. This expansion represents a commitment to Ferrero's tremendous momentum in the region and will strengthen our manufacturing capabilities and supply chain. This investment will also accelerate the growth of our Nutella and Ferrero Rocher power brands, further solidifying our presence in stores,” said Omar Zausa, President, Ferrero Canada.

The project is being supported by a loan of up to $36 million through the Invest Ontario Fund, subject to reaching a definitive agreement.

“With a highly skilled workforce and competitive business environment, Ontario continues to stand out as a trusted partner for both domestic and international businesses looking to grow in the face of global economic uncertainty. We’re thrilled to welcome this investment by Ferrero and look forward to seeing their operations catalyze economic growth and innovation in Brantford,” Hon. Vic Fedeli, Minister of Economic Development, Job Creation and Trade noted.

Ferrero International SpA, more commonly known as Ferrero Group or Ferrero, is an Italian multinational company that manufactures branded chocolate and confectionery products.

“This is a remarkable win for Brantford and all of Ontario.
