StruXure Outdoor Plans Expansion at Dahlonega, Georgia, Plant
12/17/2019
According to company officials the investment will support the expansion of its current facility leading to the creation of 25 jobs in the near-term and 40 over the next three years.
“This funding will be pivotal in helping StruXure expand and scale at the level we are capable of,” said Scott Selzer, President & CEO of StruXure. “We are currently experiencing exceptional growth in both our corporate and residential channels. This investment is enabling us to keep pace with that growth.”
The investment was made through the Georgia Agribusiness and Rural Jobs Act to support the company’s growth, create strong job opportunities and expand the local economy in rural Lumpkin County, where 20% of the population currently lives below the poverty line.
“We originally brought StruXure to Lumpkin County when I was head of the Development Authority as a way to bring much-needed, quality jobs to north Georgia,” said Senator Steve Gooch (R-Dahlonega). “I’m thrilled to see businesses like StruXure continue to grow and be a source of prosperity in our community. I want to see more stories like this in our area. That means we need to make sure we are reaching out to rural communities, hearing their needs and creating a vision that incentives growth.”
“With our participation in the GARJA program, we can provide capital to growing businesses in rural Georgia that otherwise may not have access to it,” said Anthony Billings of Advantage Capital. “Our financial solutions are customized for the businesses in which we invest, allowing companies that are poised for growth to expand, hire new employees, and in turn, grow local economies.”
