Thorley Industries Expands Its 4Moms Manufacturing Center In Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
05/23/2013
"4moms is proud to be building a great company in Pittsburgh and is appreciative of its supporters in both the region and the state,'' 4moms CEO Robert Daley said. "We are passionate about offering exciting opportunities to Pittsburgh's strongest talent, and we've had great success building our team through partnerships with Carnegie Mellon University and the University of Pittsburgh." The expansion also retained 25 jobs.
"The 4moms success story is one of many in Pittsburgh that is creating and protecting family sustaining jobs," Gov. Tom Corbett said. "As a result of our continued commitment to improving our business climate, 4moms will grow by 75 jobs, nearly tripling their workforce."
The company received a funding offer from the Department of Community and Economic Development including a $200,000 Pennsylvania First Program grant and $75,000 in Job Creation Tax Credits.
The project was coordinated by the Governor's Action Team, a group of economic development professionals who work directly with businesses that are considering locating or expanding in Pennsylvania. GAT worked with the local Industrial Resource Center, Catalyst Connection, to support 4moms' expansion project, the Governor’s Office said. The IRCs receive annual commonwealth funding to provide an array of technical assistance to small- and medium-sized manufacturers in Pennsylvania.
