04/16/2026
The investment will include the construction of a new manufacturing facility located at 211 Pine Road to produce refrigerated dips and spreads for retail grocery markets.
“After a long selection process, Anderson County in South Carolina was our number one choice for starting the first U.S. operation for our Dutch Group,” said Peter Dornbos, CEO of Signature Foods USA. “We believe this location will serve as the foundation for our long-term growth in the U.S.”
To support the project, the Coordinating Council for Economic Development approved job development credits and awarded a $400,000 Set-Aside grant to Anderson County for building improvements and infrastructure upgrades.
“Congratulations to Signature Foods USA on establishing operations in the Palmetto State,” noted Harry M. Lightsey III, Secretary of Commerce for South Carolina. “This investment will support continued economic growth in the Upstate.”
Signature Foods USA produces refrigerated prepared foods, including meats, cheeses, dips, spreads, wraps, and rolls, serving retail customers across the United States.
“By selecting Upstate SC to prepare its premium food products, Signature Foods USA is validating that our region has the right ingredients for global food and beverage companies to succeed,” added Upstate SC Alliance President and CEO John Lummus. “We look forward to seeing them grow in the Upstate.”
