Oil Recycler Investing $30 Million for South Carolina Facility

01/23/2009
Southeastern Petroleum, a recycler of used motor oil, will invest $30 million to build a new facility in Chester County, South Carolina, according to state commerce officials. The company, a joint venture between Diversified Recycling and Pesco-Beam Environmental Solutions Inc., will create at least 24 new jobs  and is expected to produce up to 10 million gallons of reused oil annually. "South Carolina provides us with a positive business environment, offers a strong work force, and places us in an excellent community," says Luke Staengl, president of Pesco-Beam. "We appreciate all the support we've received from state and local officials, and we look forward to becoming a part of South Carolina's business community." Don Burnette Sr., owner of Diversified Recycling, says they plan to begin site preparations early next month. No information was released regarding financial incentives offered to Southeastern Petroleum.
