IT Firm Opening New Facility in Michigan

NetEnrich, a provider of remote information technology infrastructure management services, will invest $2.7 million to open a new research and development and network operations center near Ann Arbor, Michigan, at a site yet to be determined, according to the Michigan governor's office. The project is expected to create 225 new jobs. "When outsourcing of jobs to India and China is all the rage, NetEnrich is bucking the trend and bringing jobs back to the U.S.," says Raju Chekuri, the company's CEO. "Ann Arbor, with its highly talented job pool, provides NetEnrich a strategic base to meet service delivery needs of our key customers and augment our R&D capabilities." The Ann Arbor Business Review reports that the California-headquartered company chose the Michigan location over sites in Florida, South Carolina, and California. Financial incentives offered to NetEnrich include a state tax credit valued at $3.9 million over a 10-year period; additional incentives will be sought by Ann Arbor-area economic development agencies when the company chooses its exact location. Company officials say they plan to open the new facility in December.
