CSA Group Opens Laboratory Campus In Seattle, Washington

CSA Group, a global provider of testing and certification services and a leading standards development organization, opened a new state-of-the-art laboratory in Seattle, Washington. The facility will offer testing and product development services for commercial and residential lighting and optical products.

The new laboratory is 17,600 square feet specializing in the testing of lighting products including energy efficiency testing, LED lumen maintenance testing, horticulture luminaires, transportation lighting and optical product development services.

According to the firm, its lab has industry leading light measurement equipment and is designed for the characterization, measurement and testing of LED lights and components to a variety of standards including North American IES and international IEC standards. The facility in Seattle also offers optical product development services for local industries including medical, consumer and aerospace.

"The new laboratory is almost three times the size of our previous laboratory allowing us to expand our testing capacity using state-of-the-art equipment," said Richard Weiser, CSA Group Regional Vice President United States and Mexico.

"CSA Group will continue to expand our services throughout the United States to help our clients reach North American and global markets faster and more efficiently."
