Duro Hilex Poly Expands Jackson, Tennessee, Manufacturing Plant
10/09/2015
The firm acquired Duro Bag Manufacturing Co., the leading paper bag manufacturer in the world last year. This expansion will allow Novolex to meet customer demands and broaden its reach to other market segments, creating 20 new jobs in Madison County.
According to state officials, Novolex’s acquisition of Duro Bag Manufacturing, Co. means the combined company will have over 5,000 manufacturing jobs in the U.S. and more than 600 in Canada and Mexico. Novolex is competitively positioning the company by growing existing markets and expanding into new opportunities for future business.
“This is an exciting announcement for Tennessee, and I want to thank Novolex for choosing to expand in Jackson and Madison County,” Department of Economic and Community Development Commissioner Randy Boyd said.
“Novolex’s decision to expand in Tennessee speaks to the quality of our state’s business environment. I appreciate the new jobs Novolex is creating for our communities and look forward to their continued success,” he added.
