Risk Management Consultant Relocating HQ to North Carolina

12/14/2009
IEM, a risk management and information technology consulting firm, will relocate its corporate headquarters to Research Triangle Park, North Carolina, according to the North Carolina governor's office. The company, currently based in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, plans to create 430 new jobs over the next six years at an average annual salary of $62,778 plus benefits. IEM provides consulting in the areas of emergency management, homeland security, and technology security services to government agencies and private businesses. "I am very excited to be moving our corporate headquarters to the Triangle area for three key reasons -- the educated work force, history of innovation, and culture of public and private collaboration," says Madhu Beriwal, IEM's CEO. The Associated Press reports that the state has promised IEM state tax breaks of up to $9 million contingent on job creation; local governments are also expected to provide incentives.
