Comprehensive Health Services Expands headquarters in Cape Canaveral, Florida

The EDC of Florida’s Space Coast identified a 63,000-sq. ft. facility which could be modified to meet the growing needs of the company, and include the addition of up to 150 jobs.
In 1999, Comprehensive Health Services, Inc., established its first Florida office in Cape Canaveral beginning modestly with three employees in a 500-sq. ft. facility. Seventeen years later, the company has increased employment to well over 2,000, outgrowing its current location and requiring investment in a new facility.
“Comprehensive Health Services, Inc., has strong ties to the Brevard County community. To meet ongoing customer requirements, capitalize on new business, and fulfill anticipated staffing expectations, we needed a solution that allowed us to grow,” stated Gary Palmer, President & CEO, Comprehensive Health Services, Inc. This led company officials to request assistance from the Economic Development Commission of Florida’s Space Coast (EDC) to present to CHSi the best business case for a Brevard County location.
After a thorough review of alternative sites, Cape Canaveral proved to be the most competitive location. “By consolidating our offices here in Florida, we feel that we selected a cost-effective alternative for growth. With the EDC’s assistance, CHSi chose a location and is customizing a facility that will continue to meet our ongoing business expansion needs.”
