Salaries will vary by job function, but the average annual wage for the new jobs will be $39,183 plus benefits. The Davie County average annual wage is $28,808.
Carolina Precision Plastics operates as CPP Global with manufacturing facilities in North Carolina, Connecticut and China. It produces a variety of injection molded and blow molded products primarily used in consumer packaging for the cosmetic and pharmaceutical industry. About 280 employees are employed at its Greensboro and Asheboro, North Carolina plants. We are excited to increase our presence in North Carolina," stated CPP Global President and CEO Brian Tauber. "Our objective is to create a cutting-edge, highly efficient operation, and the support of North Carolina has been critical to our efforts."
The project was made possible in part by a $250,000 grant from the One North Carolina Fund. "Our history of investing in education and workforce training have helped create a business climate that enables companies like Carolina Precision Plastics to expand and thrive," Gov. Bev Perdue said.
The One NC Fund provides financial assistance, through local governments, to attract business projects that will stimulate economic activity and create new jobs in the state. Companies receive no money up front and must meet job creation and investment performance standards to qualify for grant funds. These grants also require and are contingent upon local matches.
