The Sofa Company Relocates Headquarters-Factory Center To Downtown Los Angeles, California
02/05/2014
"Downtown Los Angeles is in a high growth phase, with lots of new development and renovation in the area," said Nick Ostroff, Owner. "As a locally owned and operated business, we wanted to share in this renaissance and put our new factory in downtown along with our main offices. It's a win-win situation for The Sofa Company and the city of Los Angeles."
Celebrating its 15th year in business, the company said it is “LA's largest design-it-yourself sofa manufacturer.” It offers “interior designers and homeowners customized furnishings that are 100 percent American made, using lean manufacturing techniques to maximize production efficiencies while keeping the cost competitive.”
"We are one of the few upholstery furniture manufacturers that can offer customers unparalleled selection and customization," said Ostroff. "Our retail team can lead the customer through the entire design process of picking all the options for their sofa, from size and fabrics to configuration and layout. The result is a sofa that is top quality and completely customized."
Founded by three college friends, Jim Hwang, Peter Lien and Nick Ostroff, The Sofa Company open in 1998 and employs 40 employees in its headquarters and factory, as well as sales staff in its Pasadena and Santa Monica showrooms. To meet customer demand, The Sofa Company continues to operate four retail showrooms in Santa Monica, Pasadena, Redondo Beach and Costa Mesa, California.
