Mars Wrigley Confectionery Expands Distribution Complex at Waco, Texas Plant
02/07/2018
The 42-year-old plant, which employs more than 600 associates, produces Snickers, Skittles and Starburst candies. The project is expected to expand its employee base by ten workers.
“For over a century, Mars has been committed to making our products in the markets where we sell them,” Waco Site Director Dan Brawell said.
"Our consumers and retailers are demanding even greater choice, seeking more product variety across a range of format, calorie and price options," Braswell added. "By further growing our footprint in the U.S., we will better be able to introduce new treats to satisfy the most diverse consumer appetites."
Texas Secretary of State Rolando Pablos said, “We look forward to supporting Mars in further expanding its Texas operations and collaborating in the company’s strong community engagement now and in the future.”
