03/24/2026
Automotive supplier Autokiniton plans to expand its manufacturing operations in Bellevue, Ohio. The $313 million project is expected to create 97 jobs.

The investment at the company’s existing facility will include an additional 215,000 square feet, the installation of new production lines and assembly equipment, and upgraded rail access.

“I am excited to announce the continued growth of our Bellevue, OH facility. This growth is a result of the hard work, dedication and continued success of the workforce in Bellevue and surrounding areas. This expansion reflects Autokiniton’s commitment to our customers and the power of partnership. We are grateful for the collaboration and support from Regional Growth Partnership, JobsOhio, the City of Bellevue, Sandusky County Economic Development Corporation, the Erie County Port Authority/GSP, the Ohio Rail Development Commission, workforce training partners, and the many local leaders and stakeholders who worked with us to make this investment possible,” Tom Lowe, Vice President of Operations, Autokiniton said.

To support the project the company received a tax credit from the Ohio Department of Development, which was facilitated by JobsOhio and the Regional Growth Partnership.

“Autokiniton’s latest investment in Bellevue will strengthen infrastructure surrounding the plant and provide cutting-edge technology that will improve efficiencies on the factory floor. The upgrades will bring nearly 100 new jobs to the Autokiniton facility while further bolstering the automotive supply chain in Northwest Ohio,” J.P. Nauseef, JobsOhio President and CEO noted.

Autokiniton Global Group manufactures engineered metal components and assemblies for major automotive OEMs. The company specializes in advanced metal stamping, welding, and assembly of structural and safety-critical parts such as chassis systems, body structures, and closures.

“It is because of businesses like Autokiniton that we continue to see economic growth within Sandusky County,” added Beth Hannam, executive director of Sandusky County Economic Development Corporation. “We are excited to see their continued success for years to come and thank them for their continued investment in their Bellevue facility.”
