Applegate Insulation Creating 40 Jobs in Toccoa, Georgia

03/03/2011
Applegate Insulation, a Michigan-based company, is investing several million dollars to expand its facility in Toccoa, Georgia. The company will purchase equipment and create up to 40 jobs. It is also considering a facility expansion of its existing building.

The expansion will allow Applegate to make insulation derived from recycled cotton fibers.

"We plan on shipping nationwide out of Stephens County and hiring as many as 40 employees as part of that product line, so we are excited to bring employment to the county and grow our business here," said local general manager Randy Beckett.

The Stephens County Development Authority has approved Applegate for an $8 million bond inducement resolution. It currently has 22 employees in Stephens County.
