Cummins Creates 200 Jobs at Nashville, Tennessee Call Center
06/18/2010
"We chose Nashville from among two dozen cities based on several factors, including its talented work force, strong infrastructure, and overall quality of living," said Jim Schacht, executive director of Cummins Business Services. "We wanted a city with a population of one to three million people that offered a stable economy, a dynamic workforce, and ease of accessibility, and Nashville offers all of that."
Local officials hope the announcement will start to help the area recoup from heavy flooding that has forced nearby hotels to lay off more than 2,700 workers.
Cummins will occupy a 40,000-square-foot space. There were no incentives offered.
