Polymer Group Inc. Begins Construction at Waynesboro, Virginia Plant

Polymer Group Inc. (PGI) has begun construction of a spunmelt machine at its new facility in Waynesboro, Virginia. The project is expected to create 41 jobs, and the company plans to invest more than $65 million.

"This expansion continues to build upon PGI's ability to employ industry-leading technologies, combined with recent proprietary technological development," said Daniel Guerrero, vice president and general manager of the U.S. region.

The company will produce nonwovens at the facility. It produces and markets engineered materials, and has 15 manufacturing and converting facilities around the globe.
