Galaxy Aviation Begins Expansion At Palm Beach International Airport
07/31/2013
The firm employs 200 Florida families at its five locations in Boca Raton, Orlando, Stuart, St. Augustine, and Palm Beach. The expansion will house approximately 65,000 square feet of hangar space, 9,000 square feet of office space and accessory rooms, and bring 150 construction and 50 full time jobs to Palm Beach.
Martin F. Greenberg, Chairman of Galaxy Aviation said, “Galaxy Aviation is very appreciative of the Governor for his time and his recognition of this important project. Galaxy and Boca Aviation have a long history of working in a private-public partnership to improve the many airports at which we operate for the benefit of our customers and the local and state economy. We look forward to working with the Governor in an effort to continue this track record of improvement to further his administration’s commitment to job growth and economic expansion in our state.”
Gov. Rick Scott said, “Today is a great day for Florida families. Galaxy Aviation’s decision to expand its operations in Florida indicates economic growth in our state, and proves that everything we are doing is geared towards creating jobs and opportunities for Florida families.”
All Galaxy Aviation locations in Florida serve as disaster relief sites for FEMA, offering space to store food and shelter for Florida families. Construction of the new facility will exceed hurricane wind code requirements and will have hurricane impact glass storefront entries.
