Dakota Specialty Milling Expands Fargo, North Dakota, Manufacturing Center
07/09/2018
According to the North Dakota Department of Commerce, Dakota Specialty Milling is one of the largest suppliers of custom-milled ingredients and wholegrain blends in North America. The company currently employs 120 people at their Fargo headquarters.
The expansion, which included new equipment, renovations and a land purchase, will allow the company to add up to 30 new jobs in the future.
“The positive business climate and strong state support, including the programs within the North Dakota Department of Commerce played a significant role in our decision to expand in Fargo,” Peter Matthaei, CEO of Dakota Specialty Milling said.
“We’re thrilled that Dakota Specialty Milling is making such a significant investment in our state,” says Governor Doug Burgum. “Attracting capital and talent to strengthen North Dakota communities is a priority for our administration, and that’s exactly what this expansion will do.”
“Dakota Specialty Milling is another North Dakota success story and a great example of the leading innovation that is creating jobs and driving our continued economic growth,” says John Schneider, Economic Development and Finance Division Director at the North Dakota Department of Commerce. “This value-added agriculture project reflects our strong business climate and the ongoing economic development that sets North Dakota apart.”
