Germany-based Bo Parts Builds Production Complex in Greer, South Carolina

Germany-based bo parts GmbH, a tier one and tier two supplier to the automotive industry and part of the FRIMO Group, is launching new 60,000 square foot manufacturing center at 129 Metro Court in Greer, South Carolina. The new development is projected to bring $4.1 million of capital investment and create 100 new jobs within the next five years in Greenville County.

Specializing in small-batch production, the company offers a comprehensive technology and service portfolio while allowing for greater efficiency throughout the entire production process. bo parts provides tailor-made solutions and production of service parts, low-volume production parts, sample parts, prototypes and exotic parts.

As an incentive, the Coordinating Council for Economic Development has approved job development credits related to the project. A $100,000 Set Aside grant was also awarded to Greenville County to assist with the costs of building upfits.

“We are extremely pleased to announce the expansion of our German-based bo parts business in the United States with the opening of this new location in Greer, South Carolina. With our new 60,000-square-foot facility, we can continue the global growth of our business in the low-volume manufacturing of service and production parts for our automotive tier one and tier two customers. We are currently completing the launch of our first program for BMW and are in discussion on additional programs with several customers,” FRIMO Group GmbH CEO Hans-Günter Bayer said.

“South Carolina’s automotive industry is on top of the world, and today’s announcement by bo parts shows that it isn’t slowing down any time soon.
