Valve Manufacturer Investing $49M in Louisiana

09/29/2008
Cameron Valves and Measurement, a manufacturer of valve equipment for the oil and gas industries, will expand its facility in Ville Platte, Louisiana, according to the Louisiana governor's office. The $49 million investment will include the construction of a new 125,000-square-foot building. More than 110 new jobs will be created at an average salary of $49,000 per year, along with the retention of 500 existing positions. "This expansion project is Cameron's second-largest manufacturing capital investment worldwide," says plant manager Josh Stanford. "The expansion will secure Ville Platte's future in the valve manufacturing industry." The governor's office says that the company's incentive package will be finalized within the next few weeks, and will include clawback terms tied to capital investment and job creation.
