Williams Creek Consulting To Expand Its Indianapolis Headquarters
06/29/2015
The company will invest $731,500 to lease, renovate and equip its corporate offices at 619 N. Pennsylvania St. in downtown Indianapolis. The renovation will include additional office space at its downtown location, allowing the company to expand its intellectual property while increasing capacity to serve clients in industries including power and energy, real estate, public works and utilities, health care, higher education and corporate and industrial markets. The renovation will also include facade improvements, enhancing the commuter corridor and complementing the city’s addition of bike lanes on Pennsylvania Street.
“Indiana has a strong pro-business and pro-water management climate; it’s a great place to live, work, play and raise a family. There is an educated and consistent workforce, the economic condition is typically stable and Indiana is centrally located for regional transportation and business travel,” said Neil Myers, Principal of Williams Creek. “We feel our business can continue to lead sustainable development and infrastructure initiatives from Indiana and maintain having a successful regional, national and international impact.”
Williams Creek, which operates additional regional offices in St. Louis and Columbus, Ohio, currently employs a team of more than 30 associates, including 28 in Indiana. The company has already begun hiring additional engineers, scientists and designers.
The Indiana Economic Development Corporation offered Williams Creek Consulting Inc. up to $300,000 in conditional tax credits and up to $50,000 in training grants based on the company's job creation plans. These tax credits are performance-based, meaning until Hoosiers are hired, the company is not eligible to claim incentives. The city of Indianapolis supports the project at the request of Develop Indy, a business unit of the Indy Chamber.
“Businesses launched in Indiana make a habit of thriving in Indiana,” said Victor Smith, Indiana Secretary of Commerce. “We’re proud to be the home of a business climate that allows great ideas to develop into successful, job-creating operations. It’s nice to see Williams Creek and other small businesses across our state doing great work in a business climate built for their growth.”
