Suitable Technologies Opens Kansas City, Missouri, Offices

The firm, which produces Beam, a telepresence that combines a video conferencing system with a movable transportation platform, will open an office in City Center Square, at 1100 Main Street.
CEO Scott Hassan said they are looking forward to hiring local talent as the business grows. He said Kansas City was chosen for the firm’s office expansion plans, because of its central location and the access to talented technical expertise available from about 20 universities in the region.
Kansas City Area Development Council President and CEO Bob Marcusse said, along with the good impression city officials made to attract the firm, Suitable was also attracted to city after Google Fiber choose Kansas City as the site for its initial installation. To attract the firm KCADC worked in cooperation with Kansas City EDC; the City of Kansas City; Missouri Partnership; KCnext; Kansas City Power & Light; and real estate firm Cassidy Turley.
