10/11/2016
The company serves customers in the electronics, automotive and industrial markets with technologies including fuses, semiconductors, polymers, ceramics, relays and sensors. The new facility will allow the company to accelerate the development and validation of next-generation materials and products for the automotive and electronics markets.
According to company officials, “located in the heart of Silicon Valley, the new 18,000-square-foot facility builds upon the company’s network of global design centers and testing labs. It brings together Littelfuse advanced development and materials development teams into a single dedicated facility. The technology center will support the complete innovation life cycle, from new materials and product concepts to product design, prototyping, testing and validation.”
“Creating innovative solutions that solve our customer’s most complex and demanding needs is the foundation of our company. Our Silicon Valley Technology Center is designed for collaboration and creativity,” said Littelfuse CEO Gordon Hunter. “We selected the Fremont location because of its proximity to the many innovative businesses and creative, talented people who are advancing key technologies of the future,” Hunter added.
“As a City, we’ve focused our efforts on creating an environment that fosters talent and is conducive to the growth of tech-savvy startups and large corporations alike,” said Bill Harrison, Mayor of the City of Fremont. “When companies like Littelfuse choose to plant their tech centers here in Fremont, it shows we’ve accomplished what we set out to do. We see tremendous potential in this partnership and we’re glad that Littelfuse feels the same way.”
