Germany-based Freudenberg Opens North America Regional Corporate Center in Plymouth, Michigan
10/22/2013
The center is situated adjacent to the regional headquarters of Freudenberg's largest business in North America, Freudenberg-NOK Sealing Technologies. Corporate Center employees assist individual Freudenberg Business Groups by providing local expertise and by combining and leveraging know-how from business groups and corporate functions.
"The opening of the Regional Corporate Center is the next step in Freudenberg's commitment to North American market. We chose Metro Detroit to locate our Corporate Center because of the proximity of our already established Freudenberg businesses in the area and easy access from more than 80 Freudenberg locations in the U.S., Canada, Mexico and Costa Rica," says Dr. Mohsen Sohi, Speaker of the Board of the Freudenberg Group.
As a mature market with wealth of opportunities for growth in important industries including; automotive, aerospace, oil and gas, chemical, medical, construction and alternative energy, North America is one of the most important regions for Freudenberg companies, the company said.
"We are thrilled to join the Plymouth business community and are proud of our new energy efficient, modern office space. We are also happy to be able to provide a "home away from home" to our colleagues from different Freudenberg businesses by offering them state-of-the art meeting and training facilities and a central location for knowledge and information exchange," says Leesa Smith, Freudenberg North America president and regional representative.
