Norton Packaging Builds Manufacturing Facility in Monticello, Georgia
10/22/2013
The plant, scheduled to open in February 2014, will feature the latest technology, including energy-efficient, all-electric machinery instead of traditional power-hungry hydraulic equipment, making it one of the industry’s most eco-friendly facilities. The plant will also use sustainable and source-reduced raw materials, continuing Norton’s tradition of environmental stewardship.
“This location in Georgia’s heartland is an outgrowth of our strategy to extend existing customer relationships while also expanding our customer base in fast-growing markets,” said Scott Norton, Co-President of Norton Packaging. “It gives us a chance to strengthen our customer and supplier relationships in the Southeastern United States and Europe while bringing economic growth and opportunity to the Monticello community.”
