Poly-America & Carolina Poly Establishes Manufacturing Center In Chester, South Carolina
10/28/2015
Poly-America and its affiliated entities produce several product lines, including trash bags, plastic sheeting, silage bags and shrink film. Carolina Poly, Inc. will operate a manufacturing plant on 198 acres at 1580 Lancaster Highway in Chester, South Carolina. It is anticipated that the facility will be operational by mid-2017, and hiring is expected to begin in late 2016.
As an incentive, the Coordinating Council for Economic Development has approved a $1.8 million Rural Infrastructure Fund grant to assist with the costs of real property improvements, as well as job development credits related to the project.
“Carolina Poly will enable us to stay ahead of growing customer demand for our products and to realize logistical efficiencies in servicing our customers in the Southeast and Northeast. We look forward to getting up and running in Chester County,” said Trent Mallory, Vice-President of Sales.
“This investment that Poly-America is making in the people of South Carolina is a significant commitment to our state, and is a real reason to celebrate. The 300 jobs this great company is creating in Chester will make a real difference in the lives of South Carolinians, and we look forward to seeing the impact it will have on this community for a very long time,” said Governor Nikki Haley.
