Nosco Inc. Begins Production At $7 Million Plant In Bucks County, Pennsylvania
11/04/2013
To establish operations in the Northeast U.S., Nosco has enhanced a more than 22,820-square-foot site in Bristol Township to develop an “all-digital” manufacturing facility.
“Nosco’s customers in the Northeast have consistently asked that we bring our 100 percent employee-owned culture closer to serve them with faster cycle times and lower total costs for packaging components”, said Russ Haraf, President of Nosco. “We selected the site in Bucks County because of the skilled labor force in Bristol and its surrounding communities, the wonderful support and commitment we received from the state of Pennsylvania and Buck’s County, and the proximity to brand owners in the healthcare, personal care and natural health markets.”
“Pennsylvania’s economy continues to grow and manufacturing, an industry once thought to be lost, is coming back strong,” Gov. Tom Corbett said. “Nosco recognized our potential and selected southeast Pennsylvania to locate its first operations in the northeast U.S. I have no doubt that with our keystone location and skilled workers, Nosco will continue to grow.”
As an incentive, the company received a funding offer from the Department of Community and Economic Development that included a $255,000 Pennsylvania First Program grant and a $22,000 Guaranteed Free Training grant to be used to train its new workforce. The project was coordinated by the Governor’s Action Team in collaboration with Select Greater Philadelphia.
"This is great news for our region. Select is pleased to have helped Nosco come to Greater Philadelphia by providing a confidential site selection process customized to meet their needs,” said Select Greater Philadelphia President and CEO Tom Morr. “As a result, the entire region will benefit from the jobs that will be created thanks to having Nosco locate here”.
