Recycling Company Building Manufacturing Facility in Oklahoma

11/06/2009
Recycling company Waste Not Technologies will construct a $150 million manufacturing facility in Okmulgee, Oklahoma, according to the Oklahoma governor's office. The company plans to create up to 700 new jobs for the company's initial production and eventually as many as 1,400 jobs. Florida-headquartered Waste Not will build a combined office and manufacturing space of approximately 800,000 square feet on 250 acres, with completion scheduled in two years. The Okmulgee plant will convert waste into plastic pallets, plastic railroad ties, and fiberboard. City officials say the company selected Okmulgee because of the large available site and easy accessibility to highways and rail.
