21st Century Software Technologies Plans Morehead City, North Carolina, Operations

21st Century Software Technologies, Inc., a software development company, plans to establish operations in Morehead City, North Carolina. The $455,000 is expected to create 25 jobs in Carteret County.

The investment includes the relocation of the company’s headquarters from Boston.

“North Carolina, and Eastern North Carolina, in particular offer a unique combination of a business-friendly government, great local colleges, affordable living and an outstanding quality of life,” said Eddy Ciliendo, CEO 21CS. “We are excited to become part of the community and grow our global operations in North Carolina.”

A performance-based grant of $25,000 from the One North Carolina Fund awarded to 21CS will help the company relocate to Morehead City. The OneNC Fund provides financial assistance to local governments to help attract economic investment and to create jobs. Companies receive no money upfront and must meet job creation and capital investment targets to qualify for payment. All OneNC grants require a matching grant from local governments and any award is contingent upon that condition being met.

21CS is a software developer specializing in the development of mainframe products that ensure data protection while maximizing performance. The company creates custom software solutions for mission-critical systems throughout the business and IT sectors.

In addition to the North Carolina Department of Commerce and the Economic Development Partnership of North Carolina (EDPNC), other key partners in the project include the North Carolina General Assembly, Commerce’s Division of Workforce Solutions, East Carolina University, University of North Carolina Wilmington, North Carolina Community College System, Carteret Community College, Morehead City Economic Development Office, Morehead City, and Carteret County Economic Development Foundation.
